East and southeast of our Dean Street location, past Ralph and Rockaway Avenues, sit Brownsville and Wingate, Wingate itself a small pocket claimed variously by Crown Heights, East Flatbush and Prospect Lefferts Gardens, depending on who you ask. Lincoln Terrace Park (also known as Arthur S. Somers Park), a 21-acre green space straddling the Crown Heights/Brownsville border, anchors the area, with a playground rebuilt in 2019 for children ages 2 to 5. The shared 3/4 train and Utica Avenue bus corridor make the trip to Little Me a manageable one, and this is an area with a high number of voucher-eligible families.
Brownsville doesn’t always get written about fairly, and we want to be direct about that: it’s a neighborhood with real families, real routines, and real reasons to want dependable, well-run childcare close to home. The same as anywhere else in Brooklyn. We’re glad to serve families from Brownsville and Wingate on the same terms as everyone else who walks through our door.
