Northern Flatbush
Flatbush sits south of Prospect Lefferts Gardens, across Empire Boulevard, and shares part of the Little Caribbean cultural corridor along Nostrand and Flatbush Avenues. Families near Church Avenue and Empire Boulevard find the trip north to Dean Street reasonable, especially compared to daycare options further south.
Flatbush is a large, varied neighborhood, and the commute realistically only works well for the northern blocks closest to Empire Boulevard and Prospect Park. If you’re further south, the trip becomes less practical, and we’d rather tell you that directly than have you tour and find the daily commute unworkable.
