Little Me Daycare Center, at 1539 Dean Street in Crown Heights, accepts both ACS (Administration for Children’s Services) childcare vouchers and HRA (Human Resources Administration) vouchers, and we help families in Crown Heights, Bed-Stuy, Prospect Lefferts Gardens, East Flatbush and Brownsville navigate the process from the first form to the first day of care.
Most families who call us aren’t looking for a shortcut. They’re looking for someone to explain the process in plain language and tell them honestly what happens next. A voucher isn’t something we can grant or speed up; ACS and HRA make that decision. What we can do is confirm, once your voucher is approved, that we have a spot for your child’s age group and walk you through exactly what paperwork comes back to us. What's True About ACS Vouchers Right Now
If you’re not sure which category applies to you, that’s completely normal. The system has several moving parts and the terminology (income-based track, Cash Assistance track, EarlyLearn, HRA) isn’t explained clearly in most places. Call us at 718.925.2752 and we’ll help you figure out where you stand, or point you to the right ACS caseworker or 311 line to ask. We will never tell a family we can get them ‘approved fast’. No daycare can honestly promise that, because ACS and HRA make the eligibility decision, not us. What we can promise is that we will accept your voucher once it’s approved, hold your spot as long as we reasonably can while your paperwork moves through the system, and help with anything on our end in the meantime.
We’d also rather a family apply and land on the waitlist than not apply at all, assuming the freeze means there’s no point. The waitlist exists because ACS is still processing eligibility. Being on it keeps your place in line for when capacity opens back up, and your circumstances (a new job, a training program, a change in household size) can also shift what track you qualify under.

Bring Your Paperwork
Bring your voucher paperwork to us. We’ll confirm the details match our program. Your child’s age, the approved hours, the authorized provider information, and help however we can on the paperwork that comes back to us.
Confirm Your Start Date
- Proof of income for everyone in the household who earns money (pay stubs, benefit letters, or a self-employment statement)
- Proof of your approved reason for care, a work schedule, a school enrollment letter, or a training program confirmation
- Your child's birth certificate and immunization records
- Proof of address, such as a lease or a recent utility bill
- Your Cash Assistance case number, if applicable, since that track uses a separate guarantee
