Medgar Evers College, a CUNY school founded in 1970 to serve Central Brooklyn’s Black community, is a short distance from our Dean Street location, both the Franklin Avenue and President Street subway stations were officially renamed in 2020 to include the college’s name. Many CUNY students are also parents, and ‘in school or training’ is an approved reason for ACS childcare voucher eligibility, which makes this a natural pairing with our voucher page.

Balancing classes, coursework and a child’s daycare schedule is genuinely difficult, and we try to make the logistics side of that as simple as possible, a short walk or ride from campus, and a team that understands a student’s schedule doesn’t always look like a typical 9-to-5.
